SHOPLINE POS Payments terminal

SHOPLINE launched the SHOPLINE Payments POS payment method that supports offline retail sales.

Learn how to set up the POS payment in SHOPLINE Admin, and start receiving payment from  SHOPLINE POS Payment terminal.

Before setting up your SHOPLINE POS payment, you must complete the SHOPLINE Payments application to receive payment from the POS Payment terminal. Once you apply for SHOPLINE Payment, you will enable your Online store and Offline retail store.

Please contact us in your SHOPLINE admin live chat if you only conduct offline point-of-sale transactions and do not require online payment options for your online store.

Obtaining a POS payment terminal

After completing the SHOPLINE Payment application and getting approval for Payment advanced verification review.

Only one store's application is accepted at a time. If more than one store needs to apply for a payment terminal, please submit it multiple times.

 

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin, go to POS > Settings.
  2. Under Payment methods, click on POS Terminal Management.

  3. Click on Get Terminal and select the payment terminal for rental.
    Adyen S1F2 and Adyen V400m are the two models available at the moment, and the payment terminal rental is charged annually.

  4. Click Next step and fill in your store information.

  5. After filling in your store information, click Submit. After completion, the prompt Application data submitted successfully will appear in the upper right corner of the page.

Once the application is submitted, please wait for SHOPLINE Payments team to review your application (1-3 business days). You can also check the status and outcome of the review by clicking View Details on the POS terminal management page.

The notification email for SHOPLINE Payments POS will be sent to the Store Email address provided in the application. 

 


 

Next step after getting approval from SHOPLINE Payment

After your SHOPLINE Payments application is approved, the POS Terminal Management will display two labels "Approved" and "Unpaid", you can then proceed to acquire a POS payment terminal.

To acquire a POS Payment terminal:

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin, go to POS > Settings.

  2. Under Payment methods, click on POS Terminal Management.

  3. Click on View details.

  4. Fill in the Transfer amount, then Upload proof of payment.

  5. After uploading proof of payment, SHOPLINE will contact you to complete the installation and setting of the payment terminal.

 


 

SHOPLINE Payments transaction record

After setting up your POS payment terminal, you are able to view your store’s transaction details and your POS payment terminal’s serial number. 

To view your store’s transaction details:

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin, go to POS > Settings.

  2. Under Payment methods, click on Manage accounts.

  3. Under the Transaction tab, you will be able to view the transaction details.

To export the transaction details, click on Export statement.

Types of payment that the SHOPLINE POS terminal supports

SHOPLINE POS supports two payment methods, Integrated and Non-integrated payment.

When using SHOPLINE POS integrated payment, a service fee of 2.6% + SGD 0.30 will be applied.

Integrated payments: 

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • ApplePay
  • GooglePay
  • SamsungPay

Non-integrated payments:

  • Cash payment
  • Vouchers
  • GrabPay
  • Atome (Buy Now, Pay Later)

 


 

FAQ

How do I connect my POS payment terminal to Wi-Fi?

Ensure your Wi-Fi device has a password that is at least 8 characters long before trying to connect your terminal to it; otherwise the terminal will not be able to locate your Wi-Fi network.

 

 

Why am I not able to acquire a POS payment terminal?

There are several reasons that you are not able to acquire a POS payment terminal.

  1. SHOPLINE PAYMENTS POS application data review failed.
  2. No payment method is set.
  3. Terminal management audit failed.

What is the process for receiving the hardware device after making a payment on the POS terminal?

What kind of POS terminal does SHOPLINE support?

We currently support two POS Payment terminals, the Adyen series S1F2 and the v400m.

Why am I not able to accept payment with my POS payment terminal?

  1. Confirm whether the terminal is turned on and connected and whether the last transaction is completed (the bill has been printed).
  2. Check whether the store has enabled the corresponding card type payment.
  3. Check whether the software version of the terminal is the latest version. If not, update to the latest version.
