Oceanpay Klarna Payment Setup

Customers  can choose Oceanpay Klarna as the payment option for their product purchases. This article will explain how to set up Oceanpay Klarna payments and answer frequently asked questions. 

You need to: 

  • Apply for an Oceanpay Klarna account. 
  • Bind your Oceanpay Klarna account to your SHOPLINE shop's payment methods.
  • Once you have successfully set up, you would be able to use Oceanpay Klarna to receive payments.

In order to bind Oceanpay Klarna in SHOPLINE: SHOPLINE Admin [Settings] > [Payments] > [Other payment methods] > [Oceanpay Klarna]

Question 1: Question 1: If I want to use Oceanpay Klarna in SHOPLINE, how do I request an account with Oceanpay Klarna?

Merchants can contact Oceanpayment Customer Service directly to sign up for a merchant account and get a dedicated account manager. 

Question 2: How can I obtain the Oceanpay Klarna merchant parameters used to bind with SHOPLINE Admin?

Once you have signed up with Oceanpayment, you can request an account, terminal and secure code from Oceanpayment to configure your SHOPLINE Admin.

Question 3: What countries and regions does Oceanpay Klarna support? What is the payment limit and the currency of Oceanpay Klarna?

Question 4: Does Oceanpay Klarna support refunds? How do I get a refund? 

Oceanpayment supports refunds, you can initiate the refund under the successful transaction order in the admin panel. Partial refunds can be initiated multiple times as long as the total refund does not exceed the original order amount. The maximum time to initiate a refund after a successful payment is 180 days.

Question 5: Why is Oceanpay Klarna payment method unavailable when setting up?

Klarna cannot be activated if the shop's billing currency does not match the payment currency supported by Oceanpayment.

Question 6: After successfully setting up Oceanpay Klarna payment method, why does it show payment failure?

Even if the shop's payment channel docking parameters are set correctly, there are other reasons why a buyer's payment may fail, and the exact reason will depend on the corresponding error message. If multiple payment failures occur and the reason cannot be confirmed, the merchant can contact SHOPLINE Customer Service to initiate the investigation process for unusual transactions.

Question 7: How do merchants fill in the callback address to obtain channel transaction information in a timely manner?

Oceanpayment supports transferring payment results to the callback address and SHOPLINE has already implemented this functionality during docking, with no need for merchants to fill it in manually.

Question 8: Things to take note while  using Oceanpay Klarna payment method?

As the Klarna payment method does not support automatic crediting, once the consumer has placed and paid for the order, the merchant will need to manually credit the order after products have been shipped.
