Payoneer Payment Setup

Payoneer supports consumers to pay with credit cards and savings cards, which they can choose when making payments. In this article you will find out how to set up Payoneer payments and answers to frequently asked questions. 

You need to:

  • Apply for a Payoneer account.
  • Bind your Payoneer account to your SHOPLINE store’s payment method.
  • Once you have successfully set up, you would be able to use Payoneer to receive payments.

In order to bind Payoneer in SHOPLINE: SHOPLINE Admin [Settings] > [Payments]  > [Third-party service providers] > [Payoneer]mceclip0.png

  • Fill in the [Store Code] [API Username] [Live API Token] of your Payoneer account.
  • Select the bank card type that buyers can choose to pay with.
  • Click the [Activate Payoneer] button on the right bottom to pay with Payoneer.

Question 1: How can I obtain the Payoneer account information used to bind toSHOPLINE Admin?

After signing up with Payoneer, merchants can find the Store Code, API Username and Live API Token of their opened account on the "Generate Your Authentication Data" page of the Payoneer platform, and then configure relevant settings in the SHOPLINE Admin.

Question 2: What countries and regions does Payoneer support?

The bank card channel can support all countries and regions except for the sanctioned countries and regions.

Question 3: What is the payment limit and the currency of Payoneer?

All global major currencies are supported, please refer to the Payoneer documentation for more detailed information.

Question 4: Does Payoneer support refunds? How do I get a refund?

Payoneer supports refunds. You can initiate the refund under the successful transaction order in the admin panel. Partial refunds can be initiated multiple times as long as the total refund does not exceed the original order amount. The maximum time to initiate a refund after a successful payment is 180 days.

Question 5: Why is Payoneer payment unavailable when setting up?

Payoneer cannot be activated if the shop's settlement currency does not match the payment currency supported by Payoneer. If the online store has not yet generated any orders or issued gift cards, you can change the currency to a supported settlement currency at [Settings] > [Basic Settings] > [Payment Currency]

Question 6: After successfully activating the Payoneer payment method, why does it show a payment failure error message?

There are many reasons for payment failure, such as:

(1) Merchant has filled in the wrong account parameter information and password or security key when binding the payment channel in Admin, please re-check.

(2) Insufficient balance on customer's bank card, suspected fraud or payment channel system failure.

(3) Other reasons, please check the corresponding error message. If this happens several times and the cause cannot be confirmed, contact SHOPLINE Customer Service to initiate an investigation into the unusual transaction.
